This A40 gear drive is equipped with the 8-pole version of the A40-L motor, which has been tried and tested thousands of times. The high-torque, high-revving external rotor, in combination with the efficient 6.7:1 planetary gearbox, has been specially developed for larger electric gliders up to approx. 10 kg take-off weight. Thanks to the perfect coordination of motor and gearbox, this powerhouse can efficiently and powerfully drive propellers up to 23 inches. It is a very robust and reliable system that works reliably even under extreme conditions and heavy loads.
This weight-optimized high-end motor with a weight of only 315g fits perfectly in gliders up to 14 kg.
