Para-RC scale pod harness RoCket
Para-RC scale pod harness RoCket
Because of their construction, lying harnesses are more aerodynamic, generate less resistance and are therefore used in man-carrying paragliding competitions.
The idea of the RoCket came from the two self-builders Alex R. and Herry H. Both realized their dream of a recumbent harness with their ROCKET. The man-carrying recumbent harness Swing Connect Race served as the specification. At that time, Herry H. used this harness for man-carrying flying. Alex R. implemented the ingenious idea in an impressive way, resulting in a very robust harness made of aluminum sandwich panels. Their two ROCKETs have now completed more than 200 flights. This more than confirms its suitability for everyday use.
In the summer, the concept of this recumbent harness was transferred to Para Aviation RC. Para Aviation RC was able to make the RoCket even more stable and of higher quality by redesigning it into a solid GRP lightweight construction that can be offered as an assembly kit. The interchangeable scale head from Para Aviation RC is used as the pilot’s head. The RoCket steel bracket is used, which is 2K painted and has pre-assembled eyelets for the accelerator lines and shackles. Due to the weight of the bracket, the center of gravity is quite good, depending on the choice of motor and battery. The internal motor is ventilated through two lateral openings. Due to the good cooling, the motor controller can also be installed inside. This protects the electronics. Furthermore, there is enough space for a 5000mAh battery, optionally 3s or 4s, and lead weights. A large propeller spinner can be used to achieve even better aerodynamics.
