The new F3A drive system
Senstrol motor and Senstrol regulator form a unit here. The Senstrol motors have a built-in sensor and ID chip and therefore no adjustment work is required on the controller. The drive is monitored within its operating limits, overloads are almost impossible.
Thanks to the new RPM mode, the RPM of the motor is set precisely using the throttle stick. It remains constant in both upward and downward passages. It is no longer necessary to adjust the “brake”. This finally allows the long requested wish, especially in F3A aerobatics, to be able to regulate the braking effect of the motor at any time and very precisely.
The controllers of the Master Senstrol series are sinusoidally commutating speed controllers. The motor current is regulated sinusoidally in order to achieve an optimal torque-per-ampere ratio in the motor. In addition, the sinus commutation offers a smoother motor run and less motor heating.
